The Brewing Process

The Very First Espresso Machine
The very first Italian bar machine, invented by Angelo Moriondo was patented in the city of Turin in 1884 and it worked by controlling the supply of steam and water. Unlike the later adaptations of the steam brewer, it was a bulk brewer and did not brew coffee “expressly” for the individual customer.
Therefore 17 years later in the city of Milan, Luigi Bezzera perfected the many adaptations of the machine and introduced the ‘new & improved’ espresso machine to the marketplace in the year 1901. Just one year later he registered and officially trademarked his machine, that allowed Italians to prepare and immediately serve coffee.
The first line of the original authentic Espresso machine belonged to the La Pavoni company who bought the patent from Luigi Bezzera in 1905. Desiderio Pavoni, founder of the‘La Pavoni’ company thus began to mass produce the machine.
Though it was invented by Luigi Bezzera, It is technically through the merit of Pavoni who brought fame to the Espresso beverage by making the art of Espresso making more widespread for recognizing the personal espresso machine as a legendary perfection of the very first Espresso steam machine.
